Come Join the Jam!

The South City Folk Jam is a gathering of musicians of all skill levels who meet once a month to have fun playing music together.

We meet at the South San Francisco Parks & Rec Building at 901 Civic Campus Way. Check below the video to see the date and time for our next gathering.

If you play any type of folk instrument, such as acoustic guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, accordion, bongos, etc.-- or if you just like to sing-- come on out and join the jam!

Songbooks will be provided that include a wide range of styles from old-timey folk music (think O' Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack), to more contemporary folk and popular songs from the 60's through the 2000's.

This group is for ALL skill levels, whether you are a seasoned pro or have only been playing a few months. The songs are pretty easy and as long as you know your basic chords (G, C, D, E, em, A, am, B7, F) you'll do just fine.

We have a few folding music stands to lend out, but it's helpful if you can bring your own. Also having a tuner and knowing how to tune your instrument is appreciated.

Mark Cox has been teaching guitar and leading musical groups for over 25 years and he loves the way playing music brings people together and builds community.
